Terms of Use
Effective date: 5 September 2026
These terms govern your use of the Flockus app and website (the “Service”). By agreeing to these terms when creating an account, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.
1. Using Flockus
Flockus helps you manage focus and screen time and stay accountable with friends through messages, shared activity and reminders. It is not an emergency service or a substitute for professional medical advice. You are responsible for how you use its features.
You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If you are a minor, you must have your parent or guardian’s permission and meet any minimum age required by the law where you live. Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in details secure and contact us if someone uses your account without permission.
2. App license
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Flockus for its intended purposes on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and applicable app-store rules. Flockus and its branding remain the property of their respective owners. Do not exploit security weaknesses, disrupt the Service or access another person’s account without permission. Any rights that applicable law gives you remain unaffected.
3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abuse
Flockus has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. This applies to messages, photos, videos, profiles, reminders and all other content or interactions on the Service.
You must not post, send, encourage or facilitate:
- Harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, intimidation or targeted abuse.
- Hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or other protected characteristics.
- Pornography, sexually explicit content, sexual exploitation, or any content that sexualizes or endangers children.
- Graphic violence, encouragement of violence or self-harm, or instructions intended to facilitate harm or illegal activity.
- Sharing someone’s private information or intimate content without permission.
- Scams, fraud, spam, impersonation, malicious software or content that infringes another person’s rights.
Do not evade a block, suspension or ban, including by creating another account or using an invitation code to contact someone who has blocked you.
4. Reporting, blocking and enforcement
To report an objectionable chat message, press and hold it and choose Report. To block an abusive user, open their friend profile and choose Block. Blocking removes the conversation from your friend list and prevents further contact between the accounts while the block remains in place.
Reports and blocks are recorded for developer review. A block notifies the developer, and relevant recent messages may be included as evidence. Authorized moderators may review reported content and relevant context to investigate abuse.
We review reports of objectionable content and abusive users within 24 hours. When a violation is confirmed, we remove the offending content and suspend or terminate the offending user’s access as appropriate. Severe violations may result in immediate termination. We may also take action to protect users or comply with law. You can contact hello@flockus.co to report other concerns or request review of a moderation decision.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You confirm you have the rights and permissions needed to share it. You give Flockus a limited license to store, process, display and deliver that content as necessary to operate the Service and to investigate and address abuse. This does not give us ownership of your content. You are responsible for what you share and should not send information you do not want your recipients to see or retain.
6. Privacy and account deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information. You can initiate permanent account deletion in the app under Profile → Edit profile → Delete Account and confirm your choice. Logging out is not account deletion. Deletion cannot remove copies that recipients independently saved outside Flockus.
7. Availability and responsibility
We work to keep Flockus useful and available, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation or particular productivity results. Features may change or become unavailable. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided as available, without additional warranties, and we are not responsible for indirect losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the Service changes. We will publish the updated terms here with a new effective date and notify you of material changes in the app or through an available account contact method. Where required, we will request renewed agreement. If you disagree with an update, you may stop using Flockus and delete your account.
For questions about these terms, safety concerns or support, contact the Flockus developer at hello@flockus.co.
